Sample Mustang Dataplate
(sample 1966 dataplate)

For data entry forms that more closely match your dataplate. Select your year Mustang:
1965 | 1966 | 1967 | 1968 | 1969 | 1970 | 1971 | 1972 | 1973

IMPORTANT NOTE: The door warranty plate may not be the same one that originally came on the car. (i.e. the door was changed after an accident) Compare the VIN on the plate to the one under the hood (65-67) or on the dash (68-73) to determine if the plate is original.

If your dataplate is missing, or doesn't match your vehicle, you can at least enter your Vehicle Identification Number (V.I.N.) in the Warranty Number field. This will allow you to get some information about your Mustang. Also check out our Reproduction Door Plate page for information on how to get a replacement door plate.

If you have a 1967 or later Ford vehicle, you can obtain a Report from Marti Auto Works that gives you even more information about your car. It is very useful if your door plate is missing or you need to validate the originality of a vehicle. For more information, visit their website.
